About Me
From the moment I began my college career at Christopher Newport University (CNU), I knew I wanted to pursue a degree in Communication Studies. My interest in this field stems from a deep passion for community engagement and creative expression cultivated through my extensive involvement in community and school theatre programs. I have a desire to promote the positive influence and benefits of the performing arts. Therefore, I directed my passion toward the field of marketing communications as a way to engage and promote community involvement in different organizations.
During my years at Christopher Newport University, I utilized my role as Social Media Chair within my sorority to connect with others and bridge social and philanthropic activities to impact Greek organizations. I have also worked with professional theatre companies, such as Endstation Theatre and Wolfbane Productions, as an actor, singer, and speaker at annual fundraising events to promote the arts. I have successfully raised funds for underserved youth in Central Virginia to attend performance-based camps. My involvement with nonprofit organizations has reinforced my desire to make meaningful connections and contribute positively to communities.
Furthermore, I am excited to pursue a career that allows me to stay active within a community, create, and connect with others. I am eager to bring my enthusiasm, creativity, knowledge, and skills into this field and contribute to the development of interactive media communications.
